Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti

After a delicious breakfast, our friendly driver will pick you up around 7:00 am to begin our journey towards the lush crater uplands. As we travel, you’ll witness the fertile soil supporting crops like wheat, corn, and coffee. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch before we make our way to the Ngorongoro Crater, passing by the historically significant Olduvai Gorge, where early archaeological discoveries were made. The term “Serengeti” originates from the Masai word “Siringitu,” meaning “endless plains.” You’ll marvel at the vast grassland savannah stretching to the horizon, interrupted only by rocky outcrops called Kopjes. In the afternoon, we’ll embark on a game drive where you’ll have the opportunity to spot herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and other antelope species. Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Lodge or camp, providing a comfortable retreat after an exciting day.

Day 2: Full Day Serengeti Park

Wake up to breakfast around 8:00 am, and get ready for a full day of adventure in the Serengeti. Our morning and afternoon game drives will take you deep into the heart of the Serengeti’s diverse landscape. Experience the thrill of encountering carnivores like leopard, lion, hyena, and cheetah as well as a plethora of bird species. The Serengeti is renowned for its annual migration of wildebeest and zebra between the Kenyan Mara and the Serengeti, a remarkable spectacle to witness. With over 3 million large mammals, the Serengeti is home to the “big 5” – Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard, and Buffalo. Other fascinating creatures you may encounter include hippos, giraffes, elands, impalas, baboons, and various bird species. In the late afternoon, we’ll return to the Lodge or camp for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti to Arusha

The day begins with an early morning wake-up call at 6:00 am. After enjoying a cup of hot coffee, we embark on an early morning game drive, providing an excellent opportunity to witness the exciting morning hunts of the big five. Return to the Lodge at 9:30 am for a hearty breakfast before checking out. We’ll then proceed for a final game drive as we begin our journey back to Arusha. Arriving in Arusha late afternoon, we’ll drop you off at the hotel of your choice or the airport, depending on your flight time.
